Hunter Plamann scored a career high 31 points and the University of Minnesota Duluth dialed up a season high 16 three pointers as the Bulldogs laid the beat down on Concordia University, St. Paul. A hot-shooting first half turned the contest into a rout by halftime and UMD left the Gangelhoff Center with a 93-63 victory and the weekend Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference sweep. The Bulldogs' 30-point victory is the fifth blowout game of the season that was been decided by 15 points or more. UMD compiled its third 30-point or more win of the season.

The freshman guard missed only three shots as he went 11-for-14 on the night and dropped the first nine triples he took. Plamann rattled home his first three of the night with 17:11 to go in the first half and he continued to make five more in the first half. His sixth three came with 29 ticks in the opening half to give UMD a 30-point lead right before the half. The guard from Appleton, Wis., took a brief break from his hot start before returning to drain three more in a span of 2:22 to spark a 11-2 run. Plamann finally missed from long-range with a little over three minutes remaining to conclude his near-perfect night from behind the arc.

Plamann's breakout perfromance was the pinnacle for the Bulldogs. UMD led at the half 55-25 as it shot a robust 66.7 percent in the first half and it connected on 11 three pointers. The starters were rolling in first half as four of the five had at least eight points. Plamann had 18 points at the break and junior forward Brandon Myer compiled 16. Myer opened the game with a pull-up jumper and the Golden Bears responded with a three to take the lead. Senior forward Sean Burns, who finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists, battled for two in the paint to take a 4-3 lead and the Bulldogs never trailed again.

Junior guard Logan Rorhscheib knocked down a three that started a 15-2 run that ballooned the Bulldogs to a 31-14 advantage. UMD closed out the final five minutes going 8-for-8 and a scorching 6-for-6 from deep to end the half on a 22-5 run.
