The University of Minnesota Duluth took on Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponent Sioux Falls on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs pulled out a victory 3-1 and improve to 5-8-2 overall (3-5-1 in the NSIC). The Cougars drop to 2-12-1 (2-9-1 in the NSIC).

The first half was fairly quiet, with five shots coming from UMD (one hitting the net) and one three coming from USF (one hitting the net as well). There were five fouls in the half, four of them coming from the Cougars. Each goalie finished with one save in the half, with the game staying at a stale mate through the first half.

The second half picked up action with the Bulldogs striking first in the match, 63 minutes into the game off a shot from senior midfielder
Emily Hinz putting one past USF goalkeeper Brayden Paul, coming off a pass from senior forward
Nan Glinsek. UMD would strike again in the 65
th minute, off a shot from freshman midfielder
Sarah Stange on passes from senior defender
Maddie Milbrath and Glinsek. The Cougars would find the back of the net in the 73
rd minute, with a shot coming from Taylor Kelley and a pass coming from Jaycie Dillenburg. The Bulldogs didn't flinch, scoring one final time. The goal coming from freshman forward
Erin Walpole.

The Bulldogs would finish with 13 shots (eight of them would be on net). Senior forward
Logan Nash would finish with a team high three shots (one being on net). Hinz and Walpole both finish with two shots (both hitting the net for Walpole, one hitting the net for Hinz). Stange would also finish with two shots (both hitting the net). Sophomore goalkeeper

The Bulldogs take back to the pitch on Nov. 1, heading to Bismard, ND to take on UMary, then come home on Nov. 3 to host Minot State.
