The University Minnesota Duluth battled all game but conceded a late goal to drop a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest 1-0 to Augustana University Friday evening at Malosky Stadium in Duluth, Minn.

The Bulldogs (3-5-0; 1-4 NSIC) were led by senior forward
Emily Hinz, senior forward
Nan Glinsek, and senior defender
Maddie Milbrath who each placed two shots on goal. Hinz, Glinsek, and senior forward
Logan Nash all had three total shots on the evening. UMD put 10 shots on goal in the game and outshot the Vikings (6-1-1; 4-0-1 NSIC)Â 17-11 but Augustana was able to keep the Bulldogs out of the net each time.

The lone goal of the night for the Vikings came in the 81' when Peyton Stenzal's corner kick found Morgan Moe in the 6-yard box. Moe finished it off to beat sophomore goalkeeper
Sophia Grenz for the game winner. Despite the late goal, Grenz made eight saves on the night.

The Bulldogs will return to home NSIC action Sunday, Oct. 6 at noon when they take on Wayne State College at Malosky Stadium.Â
