The No. 5 University of Minnesota Duluth traveled to No. 16 Winona State on Saturday to take on the Warriors and finish out the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.

The Bulldogs would swing at a .084 clip on the afternoon and collect a total of five team blocks, while the Warriors would swing at a .360 clip and amass 15 team blocks.

The Warriors would grab an early 8-2 lead to lead off the first set. The Bulldogs were able to grab three to cute the six-point lead in half. The two teams would trade three points aside before WSU was able to drop in a five-point rally before UMD was able to score again. The Warriors would put up three separate three-point rally's, which would be enough to finish out the set, 25-10.

The second would see UMD open the scoring, with each team putting up two points a side. WSU would go on a 5-1 run to take the lead, 7-3 before the Bulldogs were able to score again. After UMD was able to score two, WSU would score seven straight to gain a 15-5 lead. UMD was able to chip at the defect, putting together two separate three point runs, but was unable to get back into the mix for the set, falling 18-25.

The third set saw the two teams keep pace with each other the entire way, with neither team able to score more than three straight, nor grab more than a three point lead. The entire set was a back and forth battle, eventually with the teams coming to a 23-23 tie in the set. WSU was able to score the final two points and take the set, 25-23, and the match, 3-0.

Kate Berg would drop 13 kills in the match, blocking one and digging nine. Senior defensive specialist
Keena Seiffert would total nine digs and one assist. Senior setter
Emily Balts would dish out 29 in the effort. Senior right side hitter
Hanna Meyer would kill seven, swinging .333 on the day and blocking three. Senior middle blocker
Abby Thor would drop in four kills while blocking two.

The Bulldogs await to find out who their next opponent will be as they will take to the road for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Sanford Tournament to open postseason play. The tournament takes place in Sioux Falls, S.D. over Nov. 22-24.
