Sophomore guard 
Maesyn Thiesen scored a career-high 13 points as University of Minnesota Duluth extended its winning streak to five games with a 60-48 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory over Minot State University on Friday night.
 
Thiesen lead all Bulldogs in scoring while junior forward 
Sarah Grow and senior guard 
Taylor Schneider added 11 and 10 points, respectively. Thiesen also had a game-high six assists and Grow was credited with five blocks.
 
The two teams combined for just nine free throw attempts the entire night.
 
UMD led 27-16 at halftime and never trailed after the 3:35 mark of the first period to improve to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC. Minot State is now 3-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
