The University of Minnesota Duluth won their 20th game of the season against Northern State University, 65-54. They are now one win away from going undefeated at home in the regular season. UMD improves to 20-5 overall and 17-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. NSU falls to 12-13 overall and 8-11 in the NSIC.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick 21-6 lead in the beginning of the game, 15 of those points coming from 3-pointers. From that point on UMD started to cool off from beyond the arc (1-8 in the second quarter), so they started to attack the rim. They got 12 of their 15 second quarter points from the free throw line and inside the paint. The Bulldogs went into halftime with a 36-25 lead.

Sophomore forward Brooke Olson came out of the half on fire, scoring the Bulldog's first eight points of the half. The Wolves found similar success to start off the third quarter, shooting 5-7 on field goals and getting the Bulldog lead down to seven. From there, UMD ran away with it, shooting 48.1% from the floor in the second half.

Olson scored a game high 19 points and also had seven rebounds and four assists. Senior forward Katie Stark finished with 11 points, six rebounds and three steals. Junior guard Payton Kahl finished with eight points, two rebounds and a block and Junior guard Ann Simonet finished with seven points, three rebounds and three assists.

Overall, UMD shot 43.1% FG (25-58), 40.9% on three-pointers and grabbed 29 rebounds.

The Bulldogs will finish out the regular season on the road next weekend with games against the University of Minnesota-Crooksto jn (Feb.21) and Bemidi State University (Feb. 22).
