The University of Minnesota Duluth men's cross country program turned in a 17th place finish at the Lewis Crossover this morning and placed two runners in the top-100 overall.
Matthew Trutna was the first Bulldog across the finish line, finishing in 26:02.7, good for 59th place and a PR of nearly 27 seconds. The other Bulldog in the top-100 was Owen Dickenson, who came in in the 80th spot with a time of 26:23.2, also a personal best.
Two other Bulldogs set PRs this morning -- Mikey Kvaal (154th, 27:32.1) and Finn Youberg (200th, 28:40.7).
Other top finishers for UMD were Lucas Selman (135th, 27:14.8), Braydon Kubat (150th, 27:30.1), Jonathan Tostenson (161st, 27:37.4), Christian Leonard (191st, 28:25.6), and Cole Fechner (215th, 29:05.2).
No. 6 Colorado Christian took the top overall spot, claiming the second, fifth, and seventh individual finishes. No. 19 Lewis, No. 1 Grand Valley State, RV Wayne State (Mich.), and No. 26 Walsh rounded out the top five, respectively.
The Bulldogs will now take a few weekends off to prepare before heading to the NSIC Conference Championships on October 23rd.
