UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.
Duluth, Minn. – UMD's sophomore forward
Austin Andrews was named the NSIC North Division's Player of the Week.
Andrews led the Bulldogs to a 3-0 week, which included a win against St. Cloud State where Andrews scored a career high 32 points while also getting 10 rebounds. Andrews followed up that performance with a 20 point, 14 rebound game in a road win against Northern Michigan. Overall, Andrews averaged 21 points, 10 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per game over the past week. He shot a impressive 29-45 (64.4%) from the field over the past week. Andrews is a part of a young Bulldogs core that has led the team to a 7-0 record on the season.
The Bulldogs will resume conference play this week as they travel to face off against Bemidji State on December 2 at 7:30 PM. They will then host Minnesota Crookson on December 4 at 2:00 PM.
