Emma Soderberg doesn't seem to want to share.
Monthly awards, that is, as the junior goaltender picked up her third-consecutive Western Collegiate Hockey Association Goaltender of the Month Tuesday, extending her grip on the honor she has held since December.
Soderberg led the WCHA with a 30 saves a game average and the second-highest saves in the league at 120 stops on 130 shots last month. Â The product of Jarved, Sweden earned the second most wins (3), sat second with a saves percentage of .923 and ranked third with a GAA of 2.50 -- all after she played the second most minutes (239:59).Â
Overall, Soderberg ranks first in the WCHA and third in the NCAA with a .951 saves percentage overall, and first in the WCHA and second in the NCAA with a 1.34 GAA. Soderberg has earned the fifth most wins (11) in the NCAA and has 404 saves -- a 25.25 a game average.
Soderberg and the No. 5 Bulldogs will be the second seed in the WCHA's Final-Off this Saturday at Ridder Arena.  UMD will face No. 3 Ohio State in the second semifinal of the day, set to get underway at 5:07 p.m.
