Duluth, Minn. – The No. 16 Bulldogs hosted the Augustana Vikings in their 2
nd NSIC game of the year. Teams would prove to be a tough match for each other, but the Vikings would pull out a victory 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 16-25, 26-24).
The first set started off with teams trading points to a 5-5 score. The Bulldogs would take an early 12-7 lead. Teams would continue to battle it out, as the Vikings were able to tie it up at 17-17. Teams would continue to battle as teams drew out a 22-22 deadlock. The Bulldogs would not be able to overcome the Vikings as they would win the set 23-25.
Much like the first set, the second set would see teams trading points early to start the set. After a 9-9 tie, the Vikings would go on to score 4 straight points to gain a 14-9. After trading points, the Bulldogs would be able to come back and tie it up at 20-20. Teams would trade points to 23-23, and the Bulldogs would be able to grind out the last two points. Grace Daak, the Bulldogs won the second set 25-23.
The third set would see teams in a tight set once again to start. Teams would battle and trade points to a 13-13 tie. From there, the Bulldogs would have no answer for the Vikings. The Vikings would go on a big run to win 12 of the next 15 points to close out the third set 16-25.
In the pivotal 4
th set, it would prove to be the toughest set of the day. After four straight points from the Bulldogs to take a 11-7 lead, the Vikings would fight back. The Vikings would build up to a 15-17 lead. The Bulldogs would answer back however and would go on to score 6 straight points to take a 21-17 lead. The Bulldogs would increase the lead to 23-19. The Bulldogs would not be able to close out the Vikings as they storm back to win 5 straight points to win the set 24-26.

Madison Gordon would add 43 assists for the Bulldogs.

Sydney Lanoue would add 15.
The Vikings were led by Maddy Guetter who had 20 kills. Avery Thorson would add 39 assists for the Vikings. Erika Bute would also add 20 digs.
