Following an impressive performance last month, UMD sophomore
Jojo Chobak has been named the WCHA's Goaltender of the Month for January, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
During the month of January, Chobak appeared in five games for the Bulldogs, posting a record of 3-1, while tallying a .934 save percentage and 1.97 goals against average. Chobak's stellar month included a 27-save shutout performance on the road against No. 2 ranked Ohio State, the first shutout of Chobak's collegiate career. This past weekend, Chobak helped the Bulldogs to a weekend sweep of Minnesota State-Mankato.
Chobak and the Bulldogs will be back in action this afternoon at 3:01 PM against the St. Cloud State Huskies. UMD will stay on the road this weekend for a pair of games against the University of Wisconsin.
