Duluth, Minn. -- The Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs hosted the Minot State Beavers for their series finale on Monday morning. After taking an early 1-0 lead, the Bulldogs lost 11-1. 

Tim Pokornowski got the scoring started for the Bulldogs thanks to a single down the left field line that scored Brandt Kolpack. After their strong start, the Bulldogs struggled from the offensive end as they only tallied two hits the remainder of the game. The Beavers got on the board in the top of the 3rd as they managed to put 6 runs on the board in the inning. They did not stop there as they added three more runs in the top of the fourth inning thanks to a pair of singles to make it a 9-1 lead. They capped off astrong offensive performance with a two-RBI single to extend their lead to 11-1. The Beavers held onto their lead as they beat the Bulldogs in 7 innings. 

Tim Pokornowski went 2-3 on the day with a RBI. Brandt Kolpack and Trevor Gustafson both went 1-2 on the day. Aaron Wukmir got the start for the Bulldogs and went 3.0 innings and gave up 8 hits and 8 runs, while striking out 4 batters. The Beavers RJ Martinez got the win and went 7.0 innings while allowing just 4 hits and 1 run and striking out 13 batters.

The Bulldogs will host Southwest Minnesota State tomorrow for their home finale. Game one starts at 12:00 PM.
