BREZINKA FINISHES 7TH AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS, EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS

Allendale, MI - After taking seventh place in the 800m finals on Saturday afternoon at the 2022 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Isabelle Breinka has been named a First Team All-American for the first time in her career. Brezinka becomes the first Bulldog since Haleigh Reindl in 2019 to earn All-American status. 

Following her personal best mark of 2:08.23 in Friday evening's prelims, Brezinka finished seventh in the 800m finals with a time of 2:09.71 on Saturday. Kelly-Ann Beckford from Lincoln (Mo.) would take home first place and a national title with a time of 2:05.88. Brezinka's seventh place finish is the highest placement for a Bulldog in the 800m run since Lexi Williams in 2012.
