UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.Â
For a second time this season, University of Minnesota Duluth football redshirt senior placekicker
Curtis Cox has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Cox was a perfect 2-of-2 against Concordia University St. Paul Saturday in the Bulldogs 44-32 win, and hit all four of his PATs. The Dodgeville, Wis. native made the second longest FG in all NSIC action last weekend with a 40 yard effort, and has played nine straight games without missing a PAT, going 38-of-38 over that span.
This marks the second time this season Cox has earned the weekly honor -- he was also the NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week on Sept. 25.
Cox and the No. 24 Bulldogs will wrap up the regular season this Saturday when they face No. 9 Minnesota State University, Mankato in Mankato, Minn. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
