UMD football's Armai Carmickle has received and accepted an offer to the rookie mini-camp for the Minnesota Vikings. Carmickle will be joining fellow Bulldog
Zach Ojile who accepted an offer in April.
Wisconsin native, Carmickle, was a fifth year wide receiver for UMD. In his final year at UMD, he was named as one of six captains. In the 2022 season Carmickle was named to the Second Team All-NSIC. Just a season prior, the wide receiver was named First Team All-NSIC.
During the 2022 campaign, Carmickle surpassed 2,000 receiving yards, making him one of six Bulldogs in program history. In 2021 Carmickle led all Bulldog receivers with 1,315 yards and 11 touchdowns. His 1,315 yards broke the all-time UMD record for receiving yards in a single season. Posted an average of 109.58 receiving yards per game. Finished third in the conference and fourth in the nation in total receiving yards.
