UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.Â
In the now ranked No. 11 (D2Football.com) University of Minnesota Duluth football team's victory over the then ranked No. 7 Minnesota State University Mankato,
Jadon Apgar helped seal the victory to be named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Special Teams Player of the Week.
The freshman kicker from Cary, Ill. had his best game of the season where he went three for three on field goals with scoring both the game's first and final points. In the final second of the game, Apgar sent one through the uprights to defeat the Mavericks 17-14. He also sent four kickoffs in the air for 198 yards (Avg. 49.5).
Apgar and the undefeated Bulldogs head back on the road to Sioux Falls, S.D. to face the University of Sioux Falls as their third NSIC opponent of the season. Kickoff is set for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. on Bob Young Field.
