The University of Minnesota Duluth men's and women's hockey teams have jointly announced Chase Engdahl as the next Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Bulldogs.

Engdahl comes to Duluth from the University of Vermont, where he served as the Director of Hockey Performance for the past two years. Prior to that, Engdahl owned and was the Director of Denver Human Performance in Denver, Colo. for a year after serving as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Colorado Avalanche, also out of Denver, Colo.B
"I am excited for the opportunity to work with two great hockey programs here at UMD and I look forward to contributing to their future success," said Engdahl. "Everyone within the athletic department at UMD has been extremely welcoming and my fiance and I look forward to getting settled here in Duluth."

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Colorado Mesa University in May of 2018, Engdahl earned his Master of Applied Science at Concordia University Chicago in May of 2020.Â

"We are excited to have someone with Chase's knowledge and experience join our athletics staff," said Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Performance Susan Hoppe. "His strength and performance expertise will greatly benefit our men's and women's hockey programs and help them to continue building on their success."

Engdahl officially started his duties at UMD on July 31.
