THE SEASON SO FAR
The Bulldogs go into this weekend fresh off a 75-66 win over the St. Cloud State Huskies. This places them in 4th place in the NSIC, with an overall record of 12-4 and a conference record of 7-3.
RANKINGS, RANKINGS, RANKINGS
While the Bulldogs remain outside of the top 25 for the second week in a row, the NSIC has been witness to many changes in the national rankings. No.21 Minot State finds themselves in the rankings this week for the first time this season. Previous No.1 Moorhead fell to No.5 following their loss to Sioux Falls, leaving room for Mankato to make their jump to No.1 in the country. UMD still ranks at number one in the conference for three point percentage defense, and remains in the top three in 10 other categories.
WIECK'S MILLENNIALS
All five of the Bulldog's core starters (Austin Andrews, Drew Blair, Joshua Brown, Charlie Katona, and Jack Middleton) have achieved 1,000+ career points. The group currently has 7,000 combined points and look to grow that number throughout the season.
SCOUTING REPORT - MSU MOORHEAD
No.5 MSU Moorhead now sits at second in the NSIC, with an overall record of 12-4 and a conference record of 9-1 following their upset of a loss against the University of Sioux Falls. The Bulldogs are 9-13 against the Dragons since 2014, most recently losing to them in last season's NSIC championship game.
SCOUTING REPORT - NORTHERN STATE
Northern State sits at the number 10 spot in the NSIC following their pair of losses last weekend, leaving them with a 6-10 overall record and a 4-6 conference record. The Bulldogs are 8-14 against the Wolves since 2014, most recently defeating them in last season's NSIC semifinal round.
