The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team dropped their final Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matchup of the weekend, falling 4-0 to the Concordia University, St. Paul Golden Bears this afternoon at James S. Malosky Stadium.
Â
First Half: UMD (0) - CSP (1)
Â
UMD faced foul trouble early as two yellow cards would come in against them within the first three minutes of the match. The Bulldogs were then quick to find themselves at an early one score deficit after a CSP goal would sneak into the top right corner in the 14th minute. UMD would be able to power past the Golden Bear front line to collect two shots on goal on their five total shots in the first half, but was not able to convert on opportunity before the halftime intermission.
Â
Final Score: UMD (0) - CSP (4)
Â
The Golden Bears would increase their lead to 3-0 with two more goals to open the second half at the 50 minute mark and the 66:13 minute mark. UMD would tally three more shots on goal on their four shots in the second half, but two more yellow cards would play a part in preventing them from gaining any offensive momentum to convert. CSP would pad their lead with one more goal in the 75th minute and close out the game on the Bulldogs.
