THE SEASON SO FAR
The Bulldogs are hot off a weekend road sweep over the Augustana Vikings and the Wayne State Wildcats, extending their win streak to six. The Bulldogs now hold an overall record of 18-5 and a conference record of 13-4 as they head into their final four games of the regular season. They currently hold on to fourth place in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), which would grant them a bye through the opening round of the conference tournament.
RANKINGS, RANKINGS, RANKINGS
The Bulldogs find themselves in the NABC national rankings for the first time since January 2, locking in the No.22 spot this week. No.5 Mankato and No.9 Moorhead continue to square off against each other in the top 10, while Minot State moves up to No.15 in the rankings.
WIECK'S MILLENNIALS
All five of the Bulldog's core starters (Austin Andrews, Drew Blair, Joshua Brown, Charlie Katona, and Jack Middleton) have achieved 1,000+ career points. The group currently has 7,443 combined points and look to grow that number throughout the season.
SCOUTING REPORT - SOUTHWEST MINN.
Southwest Minn. State is 13-9 overall and 10-6 in conference, giving them fifth place right behind UMD in the standings. The Bulldogs are 2-9 against the Mustangs since 2014, most recently losing to the Mustangs 72-85 on the road at the beginning of this season.
SCOUTING REPORT - SIOUX FALLS
Sioux Falls sits at 11-11 overall and 8-8 in conference, giving them eight place in the standings. The Bulldogs are 6-5 against the Cougars since 2014, most recently defeating the Cougars 81-56 on the road at the beginning of this season.
LOOKING AHEAD
Men's basketball will head out for their final road trip of the regular season next weekend, squaring off against UMary and Minot State. The action for the Bulldogs will tip off on Friday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 PM.
