The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team hosted senior night against the Winona State University Warriors Friday night, deadlocking 1-1 at James S. Malosky Stadium.
Winona got out ahead with a score over eight minutes in. The Bulldogs and the Warriors traded shots for the remainder of the half, but found themselves outshot seven to four.

Nora Helvig for her second career goal 15 minutes into the second half to tie the game at 1-1. The remainder of the match had both defenses stifle the offenses as the teams remained deadlocked as time expired.
All in all, senior goalkeeper
Kaycee Chavez locked down the net, earning seven saves through all 90 minutes. WSU outshot UMD in both shots (13-8) and shots on goal (8-3).
Winona State, with two saves from goalkeeper Abigail Rounds, fall to 5-4-4 overall and 4-4-3 in the NSIC.
The Bulldogs (5-5-4, 4-4-3) continue the homestand hosting Concordia University St. Paul on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. inside James S. Malosky Stadium.
