The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team was shutout 1-0 by Concordia University, St. Paul Sunday afternoon at James S. Malosky Stadium in Duluth, Minn. in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action. 
The Golden Bears scored against the grain in the first half in the 26th minute on a free kick outside the box by Clare Snapko. While both teams put two shots on goal in the even first half, it was CSP that owned the 1-0 lead at half.
UMD struggled to generate offense in the second half, however, and the Golden Bears outshot the Bulldogs 12-2 in the frame and had four corner kick attempts to UMD's one. Overall, CSP had 20 shots on goal compared to six by the Bulldogs. The Golden Bears also had a 6-3 corner kick advantage. 
Senior goaltender 
Kaycee Chavez had 11 saves in the contest, a season high and the second most stops of her caerer. Sydney Potter made three stops for CSP, who improves to 9-3-3 overall and 6-3-3 in NSIC play.
Bulldogs (5-6-4, 4-5-3) will finish the final three games of the regular season on the road. Currently in a three-way tie for third place in the NSIC, UMD will head to Jamestown, ND next Friday to play the University of Jamestown for the first time in program history. Game-time is set for 2:30 p.m.
