The University of Minnesota Duluth indoor track and field teams pulled up to the St. Olaf Invitational Friday afternoon in Northfield, Minn. and wrapped up the Mark Schuck Open in Mankato, Minn. Saturday and both meets witnessed some impressive performances.

Friday, at the St. Olaf Invitational, graduate Shaelyn Hostager won the 5,000m in a time of 17:20.97, while seniors Kira Almsberger (sixth, 19:01.76) and Elizabeth VanLoon (seventh, 18:06.26) both ran to PRs.

Saturday, in perhaps the highlight of the weekend senior men's triple jumper William Heydt jumped to not only the 11th longest jump of the season among all NCAA DII jumpers with a 15.05m, but the 96th best jump across all NCAA divisions en route to a personal best effort. In other field news, senior Jackson Weston threw a 16.73 in the shot put, the 26th farthest throw so far this year, while sophomore Noah Rodenwald had a men's pole vault height of 4.64 Friday – the 67th best height this season.

Junior Graycee Roubinek moved into the 82nd spot in NCAA DII with a weight throw distance of 15.86.

Back on the track, senior Madelin Verkerke won the college mile with a personal record time of 5:00.76, while junior Ellie Hanowski won the women's 800m with a season best race of 2:18.46. Sophomore Lillian Wanzek twice made the top-100 times for NCAA DII this year, with her third place finish a 8.96, good enough for the 82nd fastest time this year and a personal record.

In all, 13 athletes posted personal records in the meet in Mankato Friday and Saturday.
