The University of Minnesota Duluth indoor track and field teams competed Saturday in the University of Wisconsin River Falls Winter Invite Saturday in River Falls, Wis., with the men taking first place overall (182 points), the women earning second place and the Bulldogs pulling out a first place finish in mixed results.

On the men's side, senior Brock Unger ran a 6.93 60m time to first place and facility record, while junior Sam Blomberg finished first in the 60m men's hurdles with a facility record and personal record time of 8.24.

Junior Brayden Brakke won the men's 200m race, while junior Brady Johnson took home first place with a season-best time of 50.96 in the men's 400m. The longest race that was won by a Bulldog belonged to freshman Isaac Dickenson, who posted a PR in the 3,000m with a 8:42.33 first place run.

On the field side, senior Jackson Weston threw the shot put to a first place finish of 16.95, while freshman Daniel Wynter won the triple jump with a jump of 13.28.

Senior Kate Fitzgerald had a strong performances of the day in the women's 60m, winning in a time of 7.73, fastest enough for a PR and the 100th quickest time so far this season in all of Division II.

One of the biggest highlights of the meet from a UMD perspective came from sophomore Lillian Wanzek, who won the 60m hurdles, but in prelims, ran the NCAA Division II's 56th fastest time of the season, a PR and set a facility record of 8.84.

Sophomore Avary FItzpatrick won the 200m in 26.46, while freshman Emily Beaham took first place in the women's 400m with a PR time of 1:00.08. In the women's 800m, senior Madeline Verkerke ran to a season best time of 2:15;29, while senior Elizabeth VanLoon had a PR in the 3,000m, a first place time of 10:16.71.

On the field, sophomore Sophie Mahnke had a 1.58m jump in the high jump, and Wanzek took home first place in the long jump with a jump of 5.38. Freshman Ilm'aime Ntambwe won the women's triple jump with a distance of 11.19m.

UMD won the 4x400 mixed relay with a facility record of 3:40.49 – that group was made up of Unger, Fitzgerald, Fitzpatrick and Blomberg.
