Competing in the Dan Conway Classic in Superior, Wis. inside the Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium Saturday, the University of Minnesota Duluth track and field team's had an all around successful meet, capping off a week of three different meets with Bulldog athletes.

On the women's side, senior Brooke Silloway placed second in the 100 meters with a time of 13.31, while Sevanna Burke ran to a first place finish in the 100 meter hurdles. The sophomore had a time of 15.71, and was followed by freshman Halle Theis in third with a personal best effort of 17.39.

Senior Emily Anderson placed first in the 200 meters with a 26.52 run, while freshman Emma Reincke placed second in the 400 meters (58.62). In the 800 meters, the Bulldogs went 1-2-3, with sophomore Brookelyn Kuechle running to first with a 2:18.13 season-best, followed by senior Lauren Swanson in second (2:19.77, season best), and junior Madi Wodele in third with a personal best run of 2:20.35.

Junior Rachel Ulrich won the 1,500 meters with a season-best time of 4:39.50, while junior Ellie Hanowski placed second with a personal best time of 4:42.52. In the 10,000 meters, UMD again went 1-2-3, with junior Kathryn Wraspir first (41:34.95), senior Helen Chen in second (42:15.39) and junior Ella Cole in third (42:52.91).

At the field events, junior Graycee Roubinek won the discus throw with a throw of 40.84m, while freshman Sloane Hennen placed second with a 36.38 meters effort. Roubinek first in the javelin throw (35.09m) and also finished third in the hammer throw with a personal best toss of 44.15 meters.

Two Bulldogs topped the podium in the high jump – sophomore Sophie Mahnke and junior Lauren DuBois both jumped a 1.50m. Freshman Ilm'aime Ntambwe finished third in the long jump with a jump of 4.98, and first in the triple jump with a 11.08m jump. Halle Theis was second with a 10.37m jump. Isabella Whitwam, a freshman, finished second in the pole vault with a 2.90m effort, while sophomore Annaka Bogenholm won the shot put with a 12.28. She was followed by sophomore Ameila Davis in second (11.57m) and Sam Azure in third (11.28m).

For the men, Carter Johnson finished third in 110 meter hurdles with a 15.81 time, while Brock Unger and Cole Ohnstad went 1-2 in the 200 meters with Unger, a senior, running a 22.00 and Ohnstad, a freshman, running a 22.69. Another 1-2 finish for the men was in the 400 meter hurdles, where sophomore Reid Olson won in a 54.96 and freshman Nolan Bien ran a personal best time of 55.16.

Senior Finn Youberg won the 800 meters with a season-best run of 1:55.09 and freshman Isaac Dickenson a personal best time of 1:56.38, good for second place. Both junior Nolan Bakken and Isaac Martel won their respective races – Bakken had a season-best time in the 3,000 meter steeple, while Martel ran a 34:53.26 in the 10,000 meters.

On the field, junior Noah Mitchell had a personal best discus throw of 43.85 for a second place finish, while junior Jaden Johnson finished in second in the high jump with 1.85m. Freshman Judah Zinter placed second in the long jump with a 6.28 meter jump, while freshman Daniel Wynter won the men's triple jump with a jump of 13.22m.

Jackson Weston's throw of 16.71m in the shot put was the second-best effort Saturday, while junior Noah Mitchell placed third in the event with a 14.78m.

The Bulldogs will be back at it this Wednesday when they go to St. Paul, Minn. to compete in the Meet on the Unsaintly.
