The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team rebounded Sunday in big way with a 2-0 win over Minot State University in Minot, ND to draw the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference weekend even at 1-1.

Lauren McGough continued her red-hot season with both of the Bulldogs goals, with the first a finish on a cross from
Marissa VanDeHei at the 41:37 mark of the first half.
McGough and the Bulldogs doubled that lead in the 55th minute when McGough finished a set piece kick from
Nora Helvig to put UMD up 2-0.Â
In nine games this season, McGough now has six goals, but Sunday was the first two-goal game of her career.
UMD had six shots on goal compared to just two for the Beavers, and the Bulldogs had a 4-2 corner kick advantage. Netminder
Edy Halverson had two saves for UMD in her fifth shutout of the season, while MSU had two goaltender split time -- Rebecca Sargent played 60:11 and had two goals against and four saves, while Jayen Alger was in net for 29:49 and didn't record any stops. Â
Minot State falls to 2-6-1 and 1-4-1 in NSIC play this season.
The Bulldogs (5-2-2, 4-1-1) will host St. Cloud State University of Friday inside Malosky Stadium. Game-time is set for 6:00 p.m.
