The University of Minnesota Duluth women’s tennis team moved to 12-2 on the year after winning three matches in its final homestand of 2007. The Bulldogs defeated the University of South Dakota 9-0 and Michigan Tech University 8-1 on Saturday (March 24) and went on to dispatch Bemidji State University 9-0 the following day.

Every member of the Bulldog squad went 3-0 over the weekend except for senior Stacy Schulz, who dropped a close match to Michigan Tech's Amy Palmgren. Schulz is currently 9-5 at No. 2 singles and has teamed up with senior Anna Hockett to go 11-3 at No. 1 doubles. Hockett sport a 13-1 mark at No. 1 singles thus far.

UMD's only undefeated player to date is freshman Brynne Wischer, who is a perfect 14-0 at No. 3 singles.

The Bulldogs will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Winona, Minn., to face the Winona State Universtiy on Saturday (March 31) and the University of Mary.
