Sidney Morin was that player for the Bulldogs Saturday afternoon.
Morin netted to goals, including the game-winning strike with just 2:56 remaining in the game to help the University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey team sweep Minnesota State University, Mankato 3-1 at All Seasons Arena in Mankato, Minn. Â With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 4-3-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the tough Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Mavricks again beat UMD to the scoreboard Saturday, scoring at almost the idenitcal mark of 10:54 on a goal by Nicole Germain. Â Unlike Friday, it would take the Bulldogs until the second period to find the equalizer, and it came in the form of Morin's second goal on the season just 1:21 into action.
