Box Score All ten shooters that saw the floor for the University of Minnesota Duluth had at least one basket as the Bulldogs ran wild on the Wayne State (Neb.) College Wildcats, 76-53 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest at Romano Gym on Saturday evening.
The two teams scuffled in the opening half, each shooting just 37 percent in the first 20 minutes, but UMD (8-12, 6-10 NSIC)'s offense clicked out of the locker room and the Bulldogs outscored Wayne State (8-12, 5-11 NSIC) 50-30 in the second half, shooting 65.4 percent in the latter frame to win going away.

Jordan Reetz took control out of the break, tossing in 11 second-half points to lead all scorers with 18 on the night. Crawford finished with 14, while junior guard

Junior Coleman sparked the second-half surge with three-straight possessions accounting for six free throws. Coleman finished with nine points on the night while dishing a game-high four assists as well.

Kristofer Jackson put an exclamation point on the victory, busting through the Wayne State press to drive home a dunk in the closing seconds and finish with six points on the night. In the end, the Bulldogs finished shooting 50.9 percent for the game and held the Wildcats to just 36.5 percent shooting.
UMD will test its short-term memory as they reunite with NSIC North division rivals Northern State University and Minnesota State University-Moorhead next weekend. The Bulldogs dropped a pair to the Wolves and Dragons at Romano Gym last week and will have revenge on their minds. Opening tip between UMD and Northern State is set for 8:00 p.m. on Friday night.
