BULLDOG SPOTLIGHT: DOMINIC TONINATO

He got off to a fast and promising start one year ago (scoring six times in the opening six games) en route to claiming the University of Minnesota Duluth's goal-scoring title and it appears Dominic Toninato is heading in that same direction this season. Through three outings in 2015-16, the third-year center iceman has a pair of goals -- including one game winner --  to his credit and also leads the No. 5 Bulldogs in total shots with 16.  Toninato, a 2012 graduate of nearby Duluth East High School, has racked up 25 goals (four of which have come while UMD has been shorthanded) during his 72-game collegiate career and is a +13 to boot.

He and is Bulldog teammates will pay a visit to South Bend, Ind., this weekend (Oct. 23-24) for a pair of bouts with the University of Notre Dame.
