Box Score 2 The University of Minnesota Duluth's hot play in the hot Florida sun continued Thursday as the Bulldogs toppled both Indiana University of Pennsylvania (5-2) and Mount Olive University (9-1) in Clermont.
UMD has now reeled off five straight victories to improve to 9-6 on the year and 7-1 in the Sunshine State.
In its opening bout of the day against IUP (7-4 overall), the Bulldogs did all of its scoring damage in the top of the fifth inning, taking advantage of four walks, including a pair to senior third baseman

Ashley Schilling all delivered an RBI single to help make a winner out of senior pitcher

The Bulldog proceeded to pick up a least one run in each of the first six innings en route to cruising past Mount Olive (11-13). Sophomore center fielder
Hannah Schmoll drove in three runs for UMD, which led 1-0 after one inning and 3-0 after two. Junior leftie
Sam Hartmann picked up the victory, her fifth in seven decisions this spring.
UMD will close out is 10-game, six-day stay in Clermont with Friday afternoon clashes against Caldwell University, which was ranked 15th in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II poll, and Northwood University.
