A quartet of University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs -- sophomore
Elizabeth Brunner, senior
Breanna Colbenson, junior
Erica Kesseh, and junior
Amber Seidenkranz -- all captured individual titles Saturday at the Meet of the UnSaintly in St. Paul, Minn.
Brunner outleaped 16 other competitors to win the long jump event wit a 17'11.75" effort while her sophomore teammate,
Alyssa Nebo, as second (17'-03.25"). Colbenson clocked in at 2:12.34 to prevail in the 28-runner 800-meter run race and Kesseh placed first in the 100-meter hurdles (14.90) and second in the 100-meter dash (12.80). Seidenkranz claimed her first title of the 2017 outdoor season by running a 11:18.18 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Besides Nebo and Kesseh, the Bulldogs received runnerup finishes from junior
Emi Trost in the 400-meter dash (56.33), sophomore
Michaela Hesse in the high jump (5'-03.25"), sophomore
Mackenzie Sedlack in the hammer throw (152'-00") and sophomore
Cassidy Baker in the javelin throw (116'-03"). Baker also generated a fourth-place performance -- in the pole vault (10'-09") -- as did sophomore
Allie Stalboerger in the 100-meter dash (12.82). Stalboerger was third in the 200-meter dash as well (25.88).
The Bulldogs will be back in the Twin Cities next Friday and Saturday (May 12-13) for te Northern Sun Intercollegiate Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held on the campus of Concordia University-St. Paul.
