The University of Minnesota Duluth placed fifth out of 15 schools at Saturday's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships in Aberdeen, S.D.
The University of Mary clinched its third straight team title with 16 points and was followed by Augustana University (54 pts), Minnesota State University-Mankato (110 pts.), the University of Sioux Falls (140 pts.), UMD (144 pts.), Winona State University (187 pts.), Northern State University (204 pts.) and Minnesota State University-Moorhead (265 pts.). The Bulldogs, who featured a youthful lineup Saturday that included five freshmen, one sophomore, one junior and one senior, had placed either first (2015 and 2013) or second (2017, 2016 and 2014) in each of the previous five NSIC meets.

Next up for the Bulldogs is the NCAA II Central Regional Championship on Nov. 17 in Joplin, Mo.
