The University of Minnesota Duluth Women's basketball team beat the University of Wisconsin-Parkside 81-65. The Bulldogs are now 2-3 on the year and the Rangers fall to 2-2 overall.

UMD finished the game shooting 51.8% (28-54) FG and 35.3% (6-17) on 3-pointers, while UW-Parkside shot 42.9% (24-56) FG and 37% (10-27) on 3-pointers.Â

The Bulldogs started off the game trading shots with UW-Parkside, going into the second quarter tied, 16-16. The second quarter saw a similar story as the Rangers went 4-7 on 3-pointers in the second quarter. UMD did take advantage of their opportunities from the free throw line, shooting 7-8 in the half. The Bulldogs went into the half trailing UW-Parkside by one, 33-32.

The Bulldogs blew the game open in the second half, scoring 49 points on 63% shooting from the field and 50% from beyond the arc. They finished the game shooting 19-23 from the free throw line and also recorded four blocks. Â

Sophomore forward Brooke Olson finished with a game high 19 points, six rebounds and 7-7 from the free throw line. Junior forward Sarah Grow had 15 points, six rebounds on 6-8 shooting. Junior guard Ann Simonet recorded 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and went 3-3 on 3-pointers. Junior guard Payton Kahl finished with nine points, five rebounds and 3 assists, and senior forward Katie Stark finished with nine points, five rebounds and one steal. Â
