NO. 10 WEST CHESTER DOES ALL ITS SCORING IN THE SIXTH INNING IN AN 8-2 VICTORY OVER UMD

The University of Minnesota Duluth gave No. 10 West Chester University all it could handle for five innings Monday night in Kissimmee, Fla., but the Rams erased a 1-0 UMD lead by scoring eight runs in the top of sixth en route to a 8-2 triumph.

Senior center fielder Cory Krolikowski had two of UMD's five hits while junior designated hitter Reid Rubio (a fourth-inning double) and senior third baseman Ben Danielson (a seventh-inning solo homer) each drove in a run.. Junior righthander Jaylen Hakes got the start for the Bulldogs and went two batters into the sixth before being relieved by rookie Zach Matthews (1-1), who took the loss. Hakes scattered seven hits, fanned three and allowed a pair of earned runs.

UMD, which is 1-3 on the year, will take on Notre Dame College (Ohio) in a doubleheader beginning at 1:15 p.m. (CT) in Auburndale, Fla.
