The University of Minnesota Duluth took a 10-4 lead into the bottom of the eighth inning only to see the New York Institute of Technology rally for nine unanswered runs and down the Bulldogs 13-10 Friday afternoon in Kissimmee, N.Y.
UMD, making its 2019 season debut, pounded out 11 hits in the setback to the Bears (5-2 overall).

Tyler Wojciechowski, who spent most of the 2018 season battling the injury bug, drove in three run and homered for the eighth time as a Bulldog.

Mitchell Waletzki made his first collegiate start and went five innings, giving up four runs (all earned) and scattering six hits. The Bulldogs will take on the University of Sioux Falls in a non-conference nine-inning matchup on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (ET) in Auburndale, Fla.
