Jonathan Tostenson ran his way into the University of Minnesota Duluth record books Saturday afternoon at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Challenge, which was hosted by Minnesota State University-Mankato.
Tostenson, a sophomore out of Murdock, Minn., took second in the 1,000-meter run and did so in a time of 2:30.17. That equaled the UMD indoor mark set by Lou Hughes on Jan. 29, 2011 at the same facility (Myers Field House) and currently ranks second in the NSIC.
The Bulldogs got seven other Top 5 individual finishes, with almost half of those coming in the 3,000-meter run where junior

Matthew Trutna (8:54.38) and junior
Owen Smalley (8:54.70) finished 2-4-5, respectively. Senior
