The University of Minnesota Duluth men's basketball program fell to Bemidji State University 83-76 in its regular season finale. The Bulldogs now carry a 20-8 record on the season and are 15-7 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Beavers climb to 14-12 on the year and 11-11 in the NSIC.

Brandon Myer took over as UMD's all-time leading scorer in the 10th minute of the second half, scoring the 1,954th point of his career. Myer finished the game with 40 points and now carries 1,967 points.

The Bulldogs finished shooting 42.6% (26-61) from the floor, making nine 3-pointers, grabbing 30 rebounds and eight steals. The Beavers finished with a 57.4% (27-47) shooting percentage, making 13 3-pointers, grabbing 29 rebounds with five steals.

Brandon Myer would follow with a short jumper of his own. Myer made another basket shortly after to take a 7-point lead. Myer made a layup shortly after. BSU would get on the board shortly after with a dee three. UMD would take a 14-8 lead into a media timeout. The Beavers would score a quick two but Myer responded with a layup of his own. BSU scored two free throws to pull within four. Scoring would go quiet for over three minutes until BSU would draw a foul and score two free throws. The Beavers would tie the game at 16 a side with 9:21 remaining in the half. Freshman guard
Charles Gorres would get UMD back on the board with an in tight two and regain the lead heading into a media timeout. Gorres would hit two free throws out of the timeout. BSU would respond with a short jumper. Scoring would go silent for two minutes until BSU found the board to tie things at 20 a side heading into a media timeout with 4:54 remaining. The Beavers would take the lead off of a free throw out of the timeout. Myer would respond with a bucket from beyond the arc to retake the lead. The Beavers found the lead again off of a three pointer but Myer would again put in a layup to take it back. BSU would tie things at 25 a side with a free throw and take the lead on the second free throw with 2:17 remaining. The Beavers found a 4-point lead with 1:33 remaining. Illikainen scored a layup with UMD calling a timeout. The Bulldogs would trail by three from a Beavers buzzer beater heading into halftime.

BSU scored out of the break, with Myer responding with a layup. The Beavers would take an 8-point lead with 17:13 left in the half off of a 3-pointer. UMD would call a timeout with 16:28 left after BSU made a layup with a 10-point lead. Illikainen scored a layup out of the timeout and would draw a foul, making the extra point. Myer would pull UMD to within six with a short jumper but the Beavers responded with one of their own. The Bulldogs would trail heading into the first timeout 46-38 with 14:12 left. Myer would score two free throws out of the timeout. BSU would drain a three to grab a nine point lead. UMD would trail by 13 into a media timeout, 63-50. The Bulldogs would pull to within 10 when Myer would score two free throws but the Beavers responded with a dep shot of their own, grabbing three. Trevor Entwisle would hit a 3-pointer in attempt to find momentum. BSU dropped in two free throws with 3:19 remaining. Myer would make a layup in tight and a 3-pointer to pull UMD within nine. After the Beavers called a timeout, they would draw a foul, making one of two before Entwisle nailed a 3-pointer. Sophomore guard
Hunter Plamann would make two free throws to pull the Bulldogs within four. Myer dropped a 3-pointer to pull UMD within one with just under a minute remaining, calling a timeout just after. BSU dropped a layup in to take a three point lead with 12 seconds left. The Beavers scored two free throws to take a five point lead with just four seconds left. The Bulldogs would fall to the Beavers by a final score of 83-76.

Myer grabbed his 13th double-double on the year, his third in just as many games.

Along with 40 points, Myer finished with 17 rebounds, a steal and shot 15-21 from the floor. Illikainen finished with 10 points, grabbing three rebounds with two steals. Entwisle finished with 10, grabbing one rebound and two steals. Rohrscheib scored six grabbing one steal.

The Bulldogs will host the first round of the NSIC Tournament, squaring off against Concordia-St. Paul  at Romano Gymnasium at 7:30 PM, after the Women's program hosts Upper Iowa University.
