BLAIRS FIRST CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLE LEADS BULLDOGS TO ROAD WIN TO STAY UNDEFEATED

Houghton, MI. – The Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs traveled to face off against the Michigan Tech Huskies. The Bulldogs dominated from start to finish as they won the game 76-42.
 
In the first half, the Bulldogs jumped out to an early 19-2 lead with 10:38 left in the half. The Bulldogs went on to use this early big lead to propel them through the rest of the game. The Bulldogs led by double-digits for the remainder of the game as they led by as many as 17 points in the first half. In the first half, the Bulldogs shot 12-28 (42.86%) from the field and 3-9 (33.3%) from three-point range. They also shot 5-7(71.43%) from the foul line for the half. The Michigan Tech Huskies struggled from the field as they shot 7-25 (28%) from the field and 2-9 (22.22%) from three-point range. The Huskies also shot 2-2 from the foul line.
 
In the second half, the Bulldogs continued their dominance over the Huskies. As teams traded points to begin the half, the Bulldogs slowly began to extend their lead. Towards the end of the half, the Bulldogs were able to extend their lead to 34 points thanks to a mid-range jumper from Jack Middleton. The Bulldogs continued their dominance as they went on to win big 76-42. The Bulldogs offense improved on their first half performance as they shot 17-29 (58.62%) from the field and 5-12 (41.67%) from three-point range. They also shot 5-7 (71%) from the foul line in the second half. The Huskies continued to struggle from the field as they shot 9-29 (31.03%) from the field and 3-12 (25%) from three-point range in the second half.
 
The Bulldogs were led by Drew Blair who had 15 points on the night. Joshua Brown added 14 points while Austin Andrews also added 11 points. Joshua Strong added 9 points off the bench for the Bulldogs. Blair led the team with a career high 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. Andrews led the team with three assists on the night. Andrews, Jacob Shields and Isaiah Watts all added 2 steals on the night for the Bulldogs. Overall, the Bulldogs continued their hot start to the season as they shot 29-57 (50.9%) from the field and 8-21 (38.1%) from three-point range. They also shot 10-14 (71.4%) from free throw line.
 
The Huskies were led by Owen White who added 9 points on the night while Trent Bell added 8 points. Bell led the team with 8 rebounds while Devin Schmitz and Carter Johnson led the team with 2 assists each. Overall, Michigan Tech shot 16-54 (29.6%) from the field and 5-21 (23.8%) from three-point range. They also shot 5-6 (83.3%) from the foul line.

The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow as they travel to face off against Northern Michigan at 11:00 AM. They will then continue NSIC play as they travel to face off against Bemidji State on Thursday December 2 at 5:30 PM.
