Des Moines, IA - Five Minnesota Duluth Bulldog track & field athletes qualified and competed at the Drake Relays on Thursday evening in Des Moines, IA.

Julia Nielsen,
Mackenzie Hall, Alex Robran and
Matthew Trutna all made the trip south to represent the Bulldogs at the prestigious meet.
"We competed well against a great national field," said Head Coach
Karly Brautigam. "It was a great championship level experience for this group. We walked away from a big stage with some PRs and fuel for the most meaningful meets in our season in May."
In the women's 10,000 meter run,
Julia Nielsen tallied an impressive time of 35:46.73, which was good enough for fifth place on the individual leader board. The time for Nielsen breaks her previous PR mark of 35:56.65. Also competing in the 10,000k run, Hall garnered an eleventh place finish after securing a mark of 36:43.23. For Hall, the time is just shy of her PR time of 35:56.02. Taking home 18th place in the 10k run was Robran, after she noted a time of 37:29.69. It's another PR for the Bulldogs as Robran beats her previous mark of 37:42.96. Competing in the 800 meter run, Reindl noted a mark of 2:12.80 to finish 14th on the individual leader board. The time for Reindl was just four seconds shy of her personal best of 2:08.77, which she set at the 2021 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Allendale, MI. In the men's 10,000 meter run, Trutna posted a mark of 31:55.14 to secure a 19th place finish in the event.
