Box Score The weekend's first match ended in a 5-2 win against the Bemidji State Beavers. The 'Dogs won five of the six singles matches to beat the Beavers for a final score of 5-2.
At the beginning of the doubles matches, No. 1 doubles
Megan Muller was injured just two games into the match. The 'Dogs had to forfeit this doubles match and ultimately lost the doubles point.Â
Though the Bulldogs weren't able to take the doubles point, they came out and won nearly all of their singles matches. The Bulldogs played an incredibly dominant game today. Since Muller wasn't able to play in her singles match, all of the singles players on the Bulldogs were forced to play one position ahead.Â
A notable performance today was from the No. 4 singles of
Carly Chaney. Chaney is usually placed at the No. 5 position. At the four singles position, Chaney won in a dominating fashion of 6-2, 6-1, and continues her incredible win streak of eight straight matches. Chaney says, "we battled hard today and played very well. Unfortunately, we had to move up a spot in our lineup losing our number two player and I could not be more proud of this team."
The Bulldogs now have a total record of 6-2 and a conference record of 3-1, and the 'Dogs hope to push through Crookston tomorrow.
