DULUTH, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Duluth Athletics Department will hold the inaugural Bulldog Awards this Thursday at the Marshall Performing Arts Center on campus.
 
The Bulldog Awards will celebrate the success of all UMD student-athletes for their accomplishments in the Classroom, in Competition and in the Community during the past year. The ESPY-like show format will also feature a student-athlete Red Carpet Hour, which will include picture stations.
 
Some of the awards that will be handed out include the Male/Female Newcomer of the Year, Male/Female Athlete of the Year, Chancellor's Cup for top Team GPA, E.L. "Duce" Rasmussen Award for the top scholar-athletes, Team Impact Award for Community Service, the Shjon Podein Community Service Award, Team of the Year, Moment of the Year, Fan of the Year, Bruce Bennett Service Award, Marsh Nelson Bulldog Award, Male/Female Senior Athlete of the Year and more.
 
The Red Carpet Hour will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the show set to start at 7:30 p.m. in the Marshall Performing Arts Center. The event will be streamed live at HERE
