UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.
Three University of Minnesota Duluth soccer players – Elaina Shromoff, Jessica Eischens and Kaitlyn Beavers – were named 2025 All-Northern Soccer Intercollegiate Conference Second Team selections Thursday.
Shromoff, a senior forward from Lakeville, Minn. led the Bulldogs with 13 points this season in 18 games. With a team-high six goals and two game-winners, Shromoff tied for the 11th most goals in the NSIC and the 13th most points overall. Shromoff was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 22 after recording her first career hat trick against the University of Sioux Falls in a 5-1 win. It was UMD's first hat trick since the 2023 season.
Beavers, a sophomore midfielder, finished second in points this season with four goals and four assists in 15 games. The Moorpark, Calf. product had the 13th most assists in the conference overall and finished with the 17th most points. Beavers had five games with two or more points, including a whopping five (2g, 1a) against Sioux Falls on Sept. 22.
Eischens finished the season with 10 points on two goals and six assists, the fourth leading scorer for the Bulldogs. The North Oaks, Minn. native was tied for second in the NSIC in assists. This marks Eischens' third-straight selection to an All-NSIC Second Team.
The Bulldogs concluded their season one week ago in Bemidji, Minn. They finished with a 6-8-4 overall record and 5-7-3 in the NSIC.
