UMD Tennis Tripped Up by St. Cloud State

Box Score Freshman Paige Heideman extended her winning streak to four matches despite the University of Minnesota Duluth Tennis Team falling to St. Cloud State, 5-2, in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play Sunday afternoon at the Duluth Indoor Sports Center (DISC). The rookie defeated Gibby Chapman at No. 4 singles to earn the team's first point, while Olivia Gorton earned the second point with a win at No. 6 singles. 

In doubles play, the pair of Carly Chaney and Morgan Hammer picked up their second win of the weekend with a 6-2 win over Margarita Vinichenko and Hannah Oing at No. 3 doubles. 

The Bulldogs return to action when they travel to Mankato Saturday, Feb. 21 for a conference matchup at Minnesota State at 4 p.m. They wrap play for the month of February on Sunday, Feb. 22 at Winona State. The match is set to get underway at 2:30 p.m.
