After the University of Minnesota Duluth baseball team defeated North Central Conference rival the University of North Dakota twice on Saturday afternoon, the Bulldogs boarded the team bus to Grand Forks, N.D., that evening aarmed with newfound confidence.
And, the Bulldogs rolled on, winning two more games on Sunday by scores of 11-5 and 16-9 in game to complete the sweep of their regular season series with Noth Dakota.
The Bulldogs are now firmly entrenched in their second four-game winning streak of 2006. UMD improves its overall record to 11-23 and 5-7 in the NCC. The Bulldogs will welcome Winona State to Bulldog Park on Wednesday, April 26, for a non-conference double-header. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
