Mother nature threw the University of Minnesota Duluth a proverbial curve ball in the form of an early April snowstorm, forcing the cancellation of the Bulldogs' 2007 home baseball opener with Bemidji State University. That non-conference doubleheader was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at Bulldog Park. No makeup date has been set at this time.

UMD will now take its 9-13 overall record into Friday's North Central Conference openers at Minnesota State University-Mankato. The Bulldogs' won't return home until April 14 when they begin a four-game NCC series with the University of Nebraska-Omaha
