BULLDOG SPOTLIGHT: SAMMY CASE

Role players are just as important for any athletic team as the superstars.  Filling niche positions, role players are relied on heavily to do their part.  Although she has started only 10 games throughout her three seasons in a University of Minnesota Duluth uniform, junior forward/midfielder Sammy Case has appeared in 43 games overall for head coach Greg Cane.  Case has notched one goal and two assists for four points as a Bulldog, and is looking to expand on that total with her first point of the 2008 season this weekend.

Case, along with her fellow Bulldog teammates, will welcome two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponents to James S. Malosky Stadium this weekend, starting tomorrow with the University of Mary.  UMD will then take on Northern State University on Sunday, with the game against the Wolves marking Parent's Day for the 2008 squad.  Both games are scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time this weekend.
