Chad Huttel is living proof that working hard still has its rewards.
The 5-10, 195-pound junior has steadily become more and more of a presence on the University of Minnesota Duluth blue line and he's done simply by using a little elbow grease. Make that a lot of elbow grease. This doggedness has also translated into a marked increase of ice time for him with the Bulldog penalty killing unit.
Huttel, who joined the UMD puck program two years ago straight out of the high school ranks, currently sports the third best career plus-minus rating (plus-8) of any 2009-10 Bulldog.
