The University of Minnesota Duluth's all-time leading goal scorer, senior forward
Maureen Stormont, added a 2014 National Soccer Coaches Assocation of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's All-Central Region Second Team selection to her career highlights, announced Tuesday.
A native of Stillwater, Minnesota, Stormont scored 15 goals (16th-most in the nation) and three assists to lead the conference in goals per game (0.833) and points per game (1.83) and finish ranked 15 and 22 in the nation. As previously noted, she finished her career with the most goals and points in Bulldog history thanks to her 33-point performance in 2014. Stormont earned NSCAA All-Central Region honors in each of her four seasons with UMD, named to the First Team in 2013 and Third Team in both 2012 and 2011. Last week, she was named a Daktronics All-Central Region First Team selection.
