SIX BULLDOGS MAKE 2014 NATIONAL FOOTBALL FOUNDATION HONOR SOCIETY LIST

Six University of Minnesota Duluth seniors – defensive end Jordan Bauman, cornerback Chris Blake, punter Alex Brown, running back Jeron Johnson, wide receiver Joe Reichert, and wide receiver Austin Selvick -- are among the 838 players from 267 schools who have qualified for membership in the 2014 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.

To earn a spot in the NFF National Honor Society, which is in its eighth year of existence, a student-athlete must meet the following requirements:

* Be a starter or a significant substitute in one's last year of eligibility at an accredited NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, Football Championship Subdivision, Division II, Division III, or an NAIA college or university.
* Achieve a 3.2 cumulative grade point average throughout entire course of undergraduate study
* Meet all NCAA-mandated progress towards degree requirements.

The Bulldogs have now produced 27 NFF National Honor Society members in 2007. Previous honorees include placekicker Britt Baumann (2008), offensive tackle Dan Beck (2010), wide receiver Tony Doherty (2009), running back Brad Foss (2011), defensive end Matt Haas (2012), free safety Cameron Harper (2013), tight end Ben Helmer (2013), outside linebacker Korey Horn (2010), strong safety Jim Johnson (2009), nose tackle Tyler Johnson (2010), offensive guard Mark Knudsen (2007), center Tobias Lemke (2010), linebacker Nick Lloyd (2013), placekicker David Nadeau (2012), running back Isaac Odim (2011), nose tackle Tim Rahkola (2011), linebacker Jon Rufledt (2008), quarterback Ted Schlafke (2009), wide receiver Collin Stinogel (2013), offensive tackle Sam Whitney (2010) and cornerback Brandon Wood (2010).
